attorney and law firm partner Alyson Oliver of the Oliver Bell Group

Alyson Oliver

Partner & Attorney at Law

Oliver Bell Group was created by Alyson Oliver, an independent attorney from Waterford, Michigan. Oliver has always been up to any challenge, possessing an innate curiosity that called into question what is just from a young age. Her parents can attest to her drive and argumentative side, recalling her tenacity throughout her early school years. Being someone who constantly seeks personal and societal expansion, law was the only logical option for Oliver. She formed a relationship with the court system during her college years, receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy. While in school she began her legal work assisting a judge at Oakland County’s Circuit Court. It was there she acquired the confidence to tackle cases head on, rather than alongside another firm.

Oliver’s twenty-five years of experience as a lawyer and managing partner of the Oliver Bell Group has provided a solid foundation for handling intricate litigation. Oliver has thrived over the years on challenging courtroom battles and victories. As a dynamic lawyer, she is a diligent advocate for her clients. Oliver is skilled in all phases of litigation from the preparation and discovery phases through negotiations, hearings, and trials. Oliver has an ability to identify and digest legal issues and explain them to clients and juries in non-legal jargon that allows for ease of understanding. Oliver has represented companies, classes, individuals, and the community at large, often in complex matters. Oliver is well suited to handle with experience, effectiveness, and efficiency the legal needs of clients in matters pertaining to product liability, class action, personal injury, dispute resolution, criminal defense, mass torts, employment, business, antitrust, etc.

Oliver understands and functions well in the business and litigation landscape. She has engaged in dozens of conferences, council meetings, and symposiums involving hundreds of law firms in venues across the country that are designed to facilitate consensus, consider organizational structures, and promote coordinated litigation efforts. She has been involved in numerous cases that have sparked national and international interest. She has been interviewed and featured in print, online, on television and radio regarding her expertise and involvement with some of the nation’s most interesting litigation. Having experienced and witnessed gender discrimination amongst the legal system, Oliver has been an innovative leader inspiring diversity across the legal field. She is outspoken on the topic, going as far as to mail the court appointed to an MDL (Multidistrict Litigation) when women attorneys were not only failing to be appointed regular leads, but also not being sought for large MDL’s that directly related to women’s health issues, such as contraceptives.

Oliver ensures she practices what she preaches as behind Oliver Law Group stands a diverse team comprised of individuals from every walk of life. Oliver has successfully taken the bar exam multiple times, ensuring the firm’s ability to take cases in not only Michigan, but also federally and in the state of Texas. The firm has a small, close-knit bunch that works as a team, produces detail-oriented work, and truly cares about their clients; treating every case as someone’s life because often, it is. The results speak for themselves as Oliver has had a remarkable career thus far, proudly showcasing her firm’s ninety-eight percent success rate. Oliver Bell Group truly is a unique enterprise pairing the heart of a small firm with the resources, experience, and expertise of a large firm. And the best part is Oliver and her firm are constantly evolving, making this just the beginning.
